Hareline Ice Dub

Description:

What it is

Hareline Ice Dub is a sparkly dubbing assortment packaged in a dispenser. Its built to stay tough at the bench and on the fish, resisting fraying and tearing while still looking lifelike in the water.

What to tie with it

Use it anywhere youd use dubbing: twist it onto your thread for nymph and dry-fly bodies, or build a slightly buggier noodle for fuller profiles. It also shines in dubbing loops for thicker streamer bodies and collars, and its a solid choice when you want a bright trigger point in a thorax or hotspot area.

Flies and the fish they're for

On trout nymphs like Czech Nymphs, Ice Dub is commonly used to make a standout thorax or heart that helps the fly get noticed in fast rivers and tailwaters. It also fits right into modern streamer tying when you want a durable, flashy body for trout and smallmouth in moving water. For coastal cutthroat, tyers will even wrap a fat Ice Dub dubbing loop around barbell eyes on saltwater patterns to add bulk and sparkle without giving up toughness.
