Description:
Crafted in Japan with precision, the Deps Sakamata Shad Soft Jerkbait is a finely tuned soft jerkbait that delivers an erratic, baitfish-like action that big bass find irresistible. Its distinctive body design and hydrodynamic shape reduce water resistance, allowing it to execute sharp, side-to-side darts with minimal rod movementperfect for triggering aggressive strikes. Keeled fins near the head redirect water downward, lifting the bait upward to realistically mimic a fleeing shad skipping across the surface. These fins also serve as stabilizers during the pause, enabling a natural, horizontal fall rather than the nose-diving action typical of other soft jerkbaits.
Designed with a deep belly groove for better hook penetration and back slots to tex-pose the hook point, it offers excellent weedless performance. The Deps Sakamata Shad excels when fished weightless on an EWG-style hook and can be worked effectively at both slow and fast retrieve speeds. In Japan, anglers also favor rigging it on a light split shot setup or a heavier Carolina rig to reach bass holding deeper. Available in a range of sizes and colors, the Deps Sakamata Shad Soft Jerkbait is a fresh twist on a proven lure style, giving fish a new presentation and helping you stack up more weight at the weigh-in.
