Hareline Loon Ergo Arrow Point Scissors

Description:

What it is

Hareline Loon Ergo Arrow Point Scissors are fly-tying scissors built with stainless steel blades and a fine arrow point tip. Theyre razor-sharp with durable edge retention, and the ergonomic grip with soft-touch finger loops keeps them comfortable when youre doing a lot of bench time. The short, fine points let you make precision cuts in tight spaces without bumping materials around the hook.

What to tie with it

Use them for cutting thread cleanly, trimming feathers, and shaping synthetic materials right on the hook. They also handle wire and detailed trimming when youre trying to clean up a head, open up a wing, or nip a tag end tight to the wraps. The arrow point is especially handy when youre working close to the eye or between stacked materials where bigger blades feel clumsy.

Flies and the fish they're for

These are a bench tool more than a single-pattern tool, but they shine on tiny flies and any pattern where neat, close-up trimming matters. Think small trout flies where clean thread cuts and precise feather and synthetic trimming help keep proportions right in skinny water and clear streams. Theyre also at home on bigger freshwater and saltwater patterns when you need to trim synthetics or wire cleanly without chewing up the surrounding materials.
