Hareline Morrish Mouse Foam Body Cutter

Description:

What it is

The Hareline Morrish Mouse Foam Body Cutter is a foam body cutter tool built with stainless steel blades. At the bench you press it into sheet foam to punch out consistent mouse-shaped bodies that are ready to tie in.

What to tie with it

Use it to cut bodies for the Morrish Mouse and other foam-bodied flies where you want repeatable shape and size. Its a simple way to standardize the body profile before you lash it to the shank and build the rest of the fly around it.

Flies and the fish they're for

This cutter is made for the Morrish Mouse, a classic topwater mouse pattern associated with Ken Morrish. Fished on the surface, its a go-to for big trout that are willing to move for a waking or skated meal, especially in places like Alaska where mousing is a well-known game. It also gets used anywhere youre throwing a foam rodent at night or along undercut banks for opportunistic trout.
