Hareline Plummeting Tungsten Bead 150 Piece Assortment

Description:

What it is

A set of tungsten fly-tying beads meant to add high-density weight up front. Tungsten gets a fly down fast, and this assortment comes in compartmented storage with individual covers so the sizes stay separated at the bench.

What to tie with it

Use them as weighted heads on nymphs and small streamers, or as the front weight on Euro-style patterns where sink rate matters. Slide the bead on first, then build your thread dam and materials behind it; theyre also handy when youre experimenting with your own beadhead variations and want multiple sizes on hand.

Flies and the fish they're for

Tungsten beadheads show up constantly in classic trout nymphs and modern Euro nymphing flies, where theyre fished for trout in faster runs, riffles, and deeper slots that demand a quick drop. Theyre also a go-to when youre building heavier nymphs for steelhead and salmon in bigger rivers, or when you need a small fly to track near the bottom and tick rocks without adding bulk.
