Hareline Stonfo C-Clamp

Description:

What it is

The Hareline Stonfo C-Clamp is a vise-mounting clamp base that attaches your tying vise to the edge of a bench or table. Its built from aluminum with stainless steel parts, and it stays rigid and stable under pressure with low vibration and no wobble. The footprint is compact, so it doesnt eat up your tying space.

What to tie with it

This isnt a tying material for the fly; its what holds your vise steady while you tie everything from small dries to larger streamers. Use it when you want a solid platform for consistent thread control, firm hair spinning, and tight wraps without the base shifting. It also makes sense for a travel tying setup or any small workspace where you can clamp to a table.

Flies and the fish they're for

Because its a mounting base, it doesnt show up in specific patterns, but it supports the tying that leads to them. A steady, low-vibration clamp helps when youre stacking and tightening hair for deer-hair bass bugs for largemouth and smallmouth in ponds and rivers, or when youre cinching down bucktail and dumbbell eyes for Clouser Minnows for smallmouth, stripers, and redfish in rivers, bays, and the surf. Its also handy for small trout flies on light wire hooks, where any wobble makes fine thread work harder.

How it compares

Compared with a pedestal base, a C-clamp is less heavy but can deliver maximum stability when you have a solid bench or table edge to clamp onto.
