New Arrival Royal Wulff

Description:

The Royal Wulff is an iconic, high-floating attractor dry fly designed by Lee Wulff to improve upon the Royal Coachman Dry Fly. The Royal Wulff offers high visibility and buoyancy. Ideal for fast water and prospecting, it is commonly tied on sizes 818 hooks.

Key Components and Features

• Wing: White calf body hair or bucktail, which provides excellent visibility in turbulent water.
• Body: Peacock Dub with a distinctive bright red floss or thread band in the center.
• Tail: Natural moose body hair or brown bucktail, providing robust support.
• Hackle: Brown or coachman brown, wound densely for high flotation.

Usage and Fishing Tips

• Attractor Pattern: Does not imitate a specific insect but triggers reactionary strikes, often interpreted as a mayfly or caddis.
• Fast Water: Its durable design makes it ideal for riffles, pocket water, and mountain streams.
• Dry-Dropper: The high-buoyancy allows it to serve as a perfect indicator for nymphing (dry-dropper rig).
• Maintenance: Use floatant to keep the hair and hackle riding high.
