Description:

Tailwaters Flies Pinch Hitter

"The Pinch Hitter was designed to be the perfect blend of motion and realism in a crayfish pattern.

It is tied in smaller sizes to make it appealing to creek and river bass, while still remaining a player in the trout and carp arena as well!

The squirrel zonker claws and marabou underwing both offer motion while still maintaining realism.

The other critical component of the fly is that it is tied on a bend back hook (Umpqua XS435) and is fished with the hook point facing upward.

This style of hook adds to the profile realism, minimizes hangups, ensures positive hooksets, and adds an erratic swimming action to the fly."
