Hareline Chroma Flash

Description:

What it is

Hareline Chroma Flash is a flash tinsel material cut into narrow strands. It has a tinsel-like sheen with a scale-like sparkle, and it flows and stays highly reflective underwater.

What to tie with it

Use it as flash accents in baitfish patterns by tying it in the wing or along the flanks and trimming to length. It also works well as ribbing on euro nymphs, counter-wrapped over dubbing or a slender body to add a tight, bright segmentation.

Flies and the fish they're for

In a Clouser Minnow, Chroma Flash is a quick way to add baitfish flash for smallmouth and largemouth bass in rivers and lakes, and it also fits right into saltwater Clousers for redfish, snook, and stripers. In Leftys Deceiver, it supports the long, flowing profile used for striped bass, bluefish, and other coastal predators when theyre keyed on bait. In a Flatwing, it complements the swimming silhouette and sparkle that makes those flies a staple for striped bass in the surf and along rips.

How it compares

Compared with Flashabou, it has a similar look and action in the water, but comes in a narrower cut.
