Hareline Midge Flash

Description:

What it is

Hareline Midge Flash is a wound flash material you wrap on the hook like a tiny tinsel to build a thorax. Its reflective and durable, so it keeps its shine after a lot of fish and gives that little air-bubble look you see on many midge and small nymph naturals.

What to tie with it

Use it as a thorax wrap on midges and other small nymphs, wrapping it in tight turns and tying it off clean to keep the profile slim. Its also handy when you want a subtle flash hotspot without switching to a bulkier dubbing thorax.

Flies and the fish they're for

Its a defining detail on the Jujubee Midge Flash Fly, a trout pattern for tailwaters, spring creeks, and any river where midges are a steady part of the drift. You can also use it to add a wound-flash thorax to the standard Jujubee Midge when you want the same silhouette with more reflection for picky fish or low light.

How it compares

Compared to the standard Jujubee Midge, the Jujubee Midge Flash version uses this material specifically to add a wound-flash thorax.
