Hareline Senyo’s Aqua Veil Chenille

Description:

What it is

Senyos Aqua Veil Chenille is a synthetic veiling chenille made from lightweight synthetic fibres. It wraps with a thin, non-bulky profile and gives you a textured, flashy look with a subtle shimmer and good movement in the water.

What to tie with it

Use it for bodies and collars on wet flies and streamers when you want translucency and motion without adding a bunch of bulk. It also works well as a palmered hackle by winding it around the hook shank, and its right at home on intruders and tube flies for salmon and steelhead.

Flies and the fish they're for

This chenille is commonly wrapped as a flash collar or palmered hackle on steelhead and salmon flies, where that extra shimmer and movement helps the fly stand out in current. On streamers, its a clean way to build a baitfish-style body, which translates to trout and smallmouth in rivers and stillwaters when youre fishing minnow or shrimp-leaning looks. It also fits naturally into intruder-style and tube-fly builds for steelhead and salmon, where a thin, lively profile is a big part of the game.
